Course options are between 3 and 18 weeks, this includes a 1 hour live fire class once a week either on a Wednesday, Friday or Saturday. We also discuss training during the week via whatsapp, coaching continues for the entire course.
My Training is all about results and the best way to get the results I want for you as an individual is by coaching you throughout the course. I have a different philosophy when it comes to self-defence, shooting fast accurately is first on my list and tactics second. My clients with a very high skill level however start with self-defence training immediately for example IDPA or IPSC shooters. You can do tactical training all day long but the reality is if you can’t shoot you will fail.
GEAR – First we can have a look at the gear you are using to see if we need to make any changes. Something as simple as a change in settings can make a big difference in both comfort and efficiency. I also give you advice if I think we can improve the gear you use for example your holster and belt.
FUNDAMENTALS – Everyone that takes part in a course will start with the basics from concealment, this includes accessing the gun and different static shooting drills which includes magazine changes to test your skills. My fundamentals are based on IPSC training for maximum efficiency. Advanced Sport Shooters and Tactical shooters will be training with me.
NB – BELOW IS A SHORT EXPLANATION OF WHAT WE MIGHT BE WORKING ON BUT GOES MUCH DEEPER AS YOU PROGRESS AND OBVIOUSLY WILL BE LIMITED TO YOUR SKILL LEVEL.
FIXING ISSUES – Pistol malfunctions happen so we will address all the different possible issues which can and will occur in a situation. We work on how to clear them efficiently and make it subconscious.
MOVEMENT – More advanced shooters will start with movement AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, accessing the pistol on the move creating space/time. We work through a lot of different ways accessing the firearm. You will most likely never draw a gun static.
COVER – Longer bookings and shooters that progress quicker will work through shooting from low, medium and high cover, this is a very important tactic. We use a very widely used method of shooting from cover for both good speed and accuracy.
GROUND WORK – We have to be flexible and need to be able to adapt, that’s why we shoot from different positions. We will be working from the ground which includes accessing, moving and shooting.
WORKING FROM A CAR – This training will be done from time to time shooting from inside the car as well as exiting, movement and how to use the car as cover.
ABOVE TACTICS IS ONLY FOR ADVANCED SHOOTERS AS ACCURACY AND SPEED WILL NOT BE SACRIFICED.
